Testing.. One, two, one two
Last week a friend asked to design a tattoo for him - he wants to have my drawing permanently inked on his arm, which is a great honor, but a pretty big responsibility at the same time, ha!
The amazing Wang Shu
Last night I stumbled upon a photo in maaah archive.
During my last semester at IIT College of Architecture I was lucky to attend a meeting with students with the great Wang Shu, the founder of Amateur Architecture Studio and the first Chinese citizen to win the Pritzker Architecture Prize. The meeting with this beautiful man was held in S.R. Crown Hall; we were given an opportunity to ask questions and be flooded with his oriental wisdom.
After the meeting I finally built up courage to get his autograph in my sketchbook and he signed on the photo of Ningbo Museum which I had in there as an inspiration for my Masters Thesis project 'Seedarium'. He saw a tiny part of my sketch on the side and complemented on the drawing. I was so so proud, he made my month!

Glaciers
Last week I had one of the most memorable dreams. I was standing on top of a glacier, looking at the horizon, and listening to a strange narrative about falcons. It was a man's voice, low, talking slow and clear. He was telling me how falcons lived and floated on top of glaciers...
I was asked to look down. As I did, I lost my balance and slipped. I was about to fall on ice when suddenly I turned into a falcon myself and started flying. It was incredible! I was flying between the glowing blue canyons of ice and water, gliding in the air with wind in my face, overwhelmed by flying sensation...

Rosetta
Stumbled upon this eerie sound of the comet Rosetta today. The frequency has been altered for human hearing range and it's absolutely amazing. I can't figure out why I'm so mesmerized and obsessed by it.

Ruso's Book - Part 1
Last winter I had an idea to experiment with graphic novels. The attempt didn't last longer than two weeks, but I'm back to the old mood and willing to continue illustrating my childhood memories.
The original is laid out in Moleskine's Japanese album.
Please forgive all the spelling and grammar mistakes (and there are plenty!), the work hasn't been edited yet.
